Lianne La Havas

Lianne La Havas has been dubbed one of the 'artists to watch' of 2012 on Itunes, along with other new names like Michael Kiwanuka and The Staves, but i recently had the pleasure of seeing La Havas in the company of no more than 80 people at Edinburgh's University Student Union.

She spends a lot of time in LA, but has recently done a UK tour and put her name out there. After performing on Jools Holland in winter 2011 along with Bon Iver and Feist she recieved a phone call from her hero, Bon Iver, asking her to come along and support him on his North American tour in 2012. The video above is shot by myself at Edinburgh, La Havas performing my personal favourtite 'Gone' . She is charasmatic and truely mesmerizing on stage. Look out for her in 2012. Enjoy. Peaches.

Michael kiwanuka

Wow. British soul act, recently made an appearance on Jools holland, whilst my boy Zane Lowe has unveiled him today as one of the acts that constitutes BBCR1 sound of 2012. Expect to see more of this guy.

He will be playing at the Cluny, Newcastle in February. Lexa and myself will be there; any other takers?

i first heard of this guy after he showed his immense talent with performances on jools holland last year. having worked with tv on the radio, bat for lashes & chris taylor of grizzly bear. marques is currently on tour with james blake. here is the performance of white sails from jools along with a 20syl remix of the same track.
