absolute delight.

I Was Here - World Humanitarian Day


19th of August was World Humanitarian Day. It recognises the anniversary of the 2003 bombing of the  UN Headquaters in Bagdad, Iraq which killed 22 people. 

Every day we see and hear images and stories of pain and suffering in our own neighborhoods and in countries far away. But we also find acts of kindness, great and small. World Humanitarian Day is a global celebration of people helping people.

The video above is of Beyonce performance I Was Here at the UN General Assembly in New York. This is a very powerful song which perfectly represents this day and Organisation.
