frank ocean - nostalgia, ultra.

i came across this about a week ago & finally listened this morning. basically frank ocean, an in demand song writer & member of odd future (an la hip hop collective), has self-released his solo lp after hitting some trouble with his record company. i wasn't expecting much as i'd heard nothing about him or ofwgkta, but i was pleasantly surprised. the album is an up-beat take on the current r&b climate with some well known, easy to spot samples thrown in. definitely worth a listen. get it here.
