It's been a few weeks since i looked forward to a Monday for new music releases. But yesterday saw some exciting new releases from artists old and new, here's my pick of the best...
Lianne La Havas - Is Your Love Big Enough?
She's got a brilliant style, simple, gorgeous voice. Very smiley and doing a lot to promote this album and is very grateful to the fans who are helping blow it up by attending signings in Manchester HMV tonight at 6pm and Glasgow tomorrow at the same time. She's also due to appear on Sunday Brunch this coming Sunday and i'll be making every effort to catch that. And to top this one off, the title track is the free download on iTunes this week.
Summer Camp - Always EP
A massive favourite of mine, i love the smashing album
Welcome To Condale and this is their follow up EP introducing five new tracks. They are continuing with their 'low-fi' style and even dared to include some rap from
Hal Williams (who is a member of
Odd Future) on the song '
City'. Rumour has it, he wanted to sample the track and when he sent his version back to the guys, they liked it so much, they used his version on their EP.
Frank Ocean - Channel Orange
This is Frank's long awaitied debut album featuring guest spots from Andre 3000 and John Mayer. He is best known for helping out Jay Z and Kanye on the track 'No Church In The Wild' but big things are predicted for his own stuff. In case you're not convinced, grab a free download of 'Pyramid's' from the new album here...
Enjoy my friends. Peaches.
