A very interesting insight into the anti-semitism that was also present in France in the 40's (unbeknown to me). A great performance by Kristen Scott-Thomas. The cinema venue made the film all the better - if you are not accustomed to Newcastle's Tyneside cinema (a pre-war picture house refurbished and re-opened in the noughties by the one and only Ridley Scott) get accustomed - with a variation of quirky cinema rooms and a nice bar you can't go wrong. Go and see this film.
