its said that everything is cyclical or history repeats itself. whether it be politics, fashion or even the weather, they all tend to repeat themselves. in music over the last decade we have endured an often painful homage to the 80s but two bands in particular point to the start of a revival worth repeating.
with bands like yuck seeming to take inspiration from the 90s indie rock of sonic youth & dinosaur jr and the horrors new album skying (out july 11) sounding like they have been locked away listening to plenty of sonic youth. lets hope this is a sign of things to come.
