shabazz palaces' hotly anticipated record black up is out on sub pop on june 27th. the first hip-hop act signed to sub pop, shabbaz palaces are bit of an enigma with ishmael "butterfly" butler preferring the music to do the talking & not revealing any of the other people involved in the project. an album definitely worth a listen.
