lizzy parks has been on my radar for a few years now, her 2008 album raise the roof was what got my attention, a great soulful jazzy album that was ever so easy on the ears. since then i've been keeping tabs on her releases & guest spots, with her most recent being on the craig charles funk & soul show on BBC6 music. during the show lizzy revealed she's been working on new music, but doesn't yet know when or in what form it will be released. she also performed a few tracks on the show, which, as craig charles says, are sounding funkier than her older jazzy material.

just on a side note, i've been checking out craig charles' funk & soul show more recently via the iplayer & its definitely worth a listen if you've got time. the ex-red dwarf star often features a guest spot as well as a range of music, though i'll admit not all of it tickles my fancy. check out the show's site here.
